Formed by the collapse of Mount Mazama nearly 8,000 years ago, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States—and one of Southern Oregon’s most breathtaking treasures. Known for its incredibly deep blue water, dramatic volcanic landscape, scenic overlooks, hiking trails, and iconic Wizard Island, Crater Lake is a must-see for anyone visiting the area.

Depending on the season, visitors can enjoy scenic drives, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, wildlife viewing, photography, and simply taking in one of the most spectacular landscapes in the country.
